Family Sharing
One of the biggest changes is the introduction of Family Sharing. With this new feature, parents and caregivers can invite family members, friends, and others in their support network to join the app. By giving loved ones access, everyone can be part of the speech and language therapy process, ensuring that support extends beyond clinic walls and into everyday life.

Checking In
We’ve also added a new way to measure progress: Checking In. Once a month, caregivers complete a simple assessment designed to capture how things are going. At the end of each check-in, SuperPenguin provides a short, personalised feedback, making it easier to digest results and understand the next steps. This helps turn progress into something visible and actionable.

Best Hopes
Another new feature we’re particularly excited about is Best Hopes. At the start of the journey, caregiver can set a personal goal when completing the “Welcome to SuperPenguin” topic. This is becomes their “best hope” for what they’d like to achieve. We also ask when the caregiver feels that they will achieve their best hope to ensure every goal is measurable. Each week, we’ll quickly check in on how much progress they feel they’ve made towards that goal. It’s a simple but powerful way to keep motivation high as well as ensuring SuperPenguin is providing the correct support for every caregiver.

Of course, no release would be complete without some behind-the-scenes improvements. Version 1.16 also includes a range of bug fixes and quality-of-life updates, making the app smoother and easier to use.
We’re proud of this release because it reflects what matters most: bringing families and support networks together, making progress visible, and keeping hope at the centre of the journey.
